Gen. C. Robert Kehler, USAF

Commander, Air Force Space Command

General Kehler is commander, Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. He is responsible for the development, acquisition, and operation of the Air Force's space and missile systems. Kehler oversees a global network of satellite command and control, communications, missile warning and launch facilities, and ensures the combat readiness of America's intercontinental ballistic missile force.  He leads more than 39,700 space professionals who provide combat forces and capabilities to North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Strategic Command. Previously, he served as deputy commander, U.S. Strategic Command, Offutt AFB, Neb.; director, national security space integration, Office of the Under Secretary of the Air Force, Washington, D.C. Kehler earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Pennsylvania State University, State College; a Master of Science degree in public administration, University of Oklahoma, Norman; and a Master of Arts degree in national security and strategic studies, Naval War College, Newport, R.I.
