Amanda Rutenberg is the General Counsel of the Space Business for Aerojet Rocketdyne. In this role, she is primarily responsible for supporting program teams and management within the Space Business Unit on a full range of government and commercial contracting matters, including compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation; interpretation and negotiation of government and commercial contract provisions, subcontract terms and proprietary information agreements; and assisting with the resolution of contract performance problems.
Ms. Rutenberg is also the lead company attorney responsible for managing significant litigation, as well as supporting the Government Compliance group with DCAA audits and other Cost Accounting Standards questions. She also assists the corporate finance team with legal accruals and input for quarterly and yearly SEC filings.
Ms. Rutenberg is a graduate of the George Washington University Law School, with 18 years of experience advising and leading businesses on a full range of litigation and government contracts matters. Prior to joining the in-house legal department at Aerojet, she spent almost 10 years working in the government contracts group at Seyfarth Shaw in Washington DC and Los Angeles, before being recruited to Kirkland & Ellis where she helped lead a team litigating multiple complex claims against the U.S. Government valued at more than $300 million.
Ms. Rutenberg lives in Los Angeles, California and is a member of the California and District of Columbia Bars.
