David Wheeler is Firefly Aerospace’s Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary, leading legal, compliance and risk. David joined Firefly in 2022, bringing more than 25 years of legal experience managing a broad spectrum of domestic and international issues for private and public companies.

Before joining Firefly, David was Division General Counsel and group Chief Compliance Officer at Signature Aviation, and Senior Counsel at GE Aerospace. Prior to that, he was a Principal at an Am Law 50 law firm where he specialized in M&A, corporate governance, and complex commercial transactions.

David holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Vermont and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. He also is a Certified Public Accountant.
