Heather Nelson is the Director of Club for the Future, Blue Origin’s K-12 STEAM Education nonprofit. She previously managed the university relations, internship, and early career recruiting programs for Blue, helping to grow the company from 275 to over 10,000 employees. Heather has 25 years of experience working in government, industry, and technical academic environments. Before joining Blue she was Assistant Director of the NASA Pennsylvania Space Grant Consortium and held positions with the Penn State Astrobiology Research Center and the Geosciences Department at Penn State. She’s built a career inspiring the next generation, providing pathways for students so they can envision themselves pursuing STEM careers and working in the space industry.
