Mike Trumpfheller is the Senior Advisor for Strategic Initiatives to Chief of Space Operations, Headquarters United States Space Force, the Pentagon. Mr. Trumpfheller advises the CSO on critical policy issues and strategic initiatives affecting the United States Space Force.  Mr. Trumpfheller joined the U.S. Air Force in 1990 and retired from the service in 2016 as a colonel.  He commanded the 33rd Rescue Squadron, Japan and the 651st Air Expeditionary Group at Camp Bastion, Afghanistan. After retiring from active duty, he served in the Department of the Air Force Senior Executive Service Corps from 2016-2020 leading planning and programming, requirements, and force design efforts for air and space capabilities.
