Julianna Scheiman is responsible for the mission development, contract award, and successful execution of NASA’s satellite launches. Scheiman has grown SpaceX’s launch portfolio throughout her greater than 10 year career at SpaceX, including NASA’s Jason-3, TESS, Sentinel-6A & Sentinel-6B, DART, IXPE, Psyche, PACE, SWOT, IMAP, SPHEREx, Roman Space Telescope, HALO PPE and Europa Clipper missions. Scheiman is also a key team member on the Civil Space Advanced Development team, partnering with NASA on future mission capabilities and concepts.

Prior to her time at SpaceX, Scheiman was a Management Associate at Bridgewater Associates, the world’s largest hedge fund. During her tenure at Bridgewater she managed long-term research projects and key investment teams.

Scheiman graduated from Dartmouth College with two degrees. She received a bachelor’s degree in physics with high honors for her thesis “The Feasibility of Using POES Satellites and Ground-Based Riometers to Systematically Measure Relativistic Electron Precipitation.” In addition, she received a bachelor of engineering degree in mechanical engineering from Dartmouth’s Thayer School of Engineering.
