Kip is a senior executive with 25+ years of experience in the cybersecurity, defense, and industrial IoT sectors providing connectivity, sensing, and communication. At SpiderOak Kip is responsible for executing the corporate plan, identifying new markets and driving revenue performance through sales and partnerships. Prior to SpiderOak, Kip held sales and business development executive roles at Xage Security, a zero-trust access management software provider for industrial enterprises and defense. Prior to transitioning to the cybersecurity industry, Kip held executive positions in marketing and product management at NES & Itron delivering some of the first IoT networks and critical operational management, security, and analytical software for the utility industry worldwide. Kip started his career as a commissioned officer in the United State Air Force responsible for assessing spacecraft vulnerabilities to directed energy threats and delivering new cyber capabilities to Air Force Space Command. Kip holds a Bachelors in Mathematics from The Citadel and an MBA from Gonzaga University.
