Maj Gen (ret) Urrutia-Varhall served a 30+ year military career as an integral contributor to national security, cyber security, geospatial, and diplomacy initiatives. Recognized as a change agent, diversity champion, and motivational leader, she cultivated collaborative, strategic, global partnerships and galvanized disparate groups to embrace emerging technologies and innovative solutions to address strategic/operational challenges, issues, and problems. 

Along with various command positions, she served as the right hand to three Secretary of Defense(s) and the Director of National Intelligence.  Advised the White House, CIA, and State Department to align objectives, develop strategic plans, execute policy, maximize resources, achieve overarching goals, and resolve national security issues. Influenced policy, diplomacy, and operations domestically/internationally in various positions throughout the U.S., Europe, and Asia.

 Maj Gen (ret) Urrutia-Varhall serves as an Aerospace Corporation Trustee, member of the Secretary of the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board, and numerous other advisory boards.  She earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from USAF Academy, followed by a Master of Science in Strategic Intelligence with a distinguished graduate designation from Defense Intelligence College
