
RADM Mike Studeman, USN (Ret.)
Former Commander of the Office of Naval Intelligence
Rear Admiral (Ret.) Mike Studeman is a distinguished national security expert with extensive experience in intelligence operations, foreign policy, and defense strategy. He has served in key leadership roles, including Director of Intelligence for both the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command and U.S. Southern Command, as well as Commander of the Office of Naval Intelligence and the National Maritime Intelligence-Integration Office. His expertise spans tactical to strategic intelligence, with a focus on Asia-Pacific affairs, particularly China.
Before retiring from the U.S. Navy, Mike spent 35 years in intelligence and operational roles, shaping U.S. defense strategies and working closely with senior military and government leaders. A deep understanding of global security challenges and the integration of intelligence into decision-making at the highest levels has defined his career.
Beyond his military service, Mike remains engaged in national security discussions, contributing thought leadership on geopolitical and defense matters. He holds a B.A. in Government from the College of William and Mary, an M.A. in National Security Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School, and an M.S. in National Security from the National War College. He is also an honors graduate in Mandarin Chinese from the Defense Language Institute.
