Dave Cavossa is President of the Commercial Space Federation (CSF), officially joining on June 3, 2024. Mr. Cavossa is a seasoned space and satellite industry executive with deep expertise at the intersection of commercial space, government affairs, and government services.

In 2015, Dave ventured into entrepreneurship, founding a tech startup in the golf industry, which he successfully built, funded, and later sold to a competitor. After that venture, he returned to the space sector, where he founded Space 2.0 Consulting LLC and most recently led U.S. government business at Agility Beyond Space (ABS), a GEO FSS Satellite operator based in Dubai.

Dave likes to say he has seen the space industry from every angle— government employee, sales and business development executive, operations manager, P&L owner, startup founder, consultant, and now two-time trade association leader. He previously spent six years as Executive Director and Chair of the Board at the Satellite Industry Association (SIA) and held executive roles at Harris Corporation, CapRock Government Solutions, and Arrowhead Global Solutions. His career in the industry began in 2001 as an intern at NASA Headquarters in D.C., working in Legislative Affairs and International Relations.

Dave was a Space Policy Fellow and holds a Master’s Degree in Science, Technology, and Public Policy from The George Washington University Space Policy Institute and completed an Executive Certificate Program in Business and Strategic Marketing from Northwestern University. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Astronomy, and Political Science from Wheaton College in Massachusetts.
