Lt Col Amber M. Johnson is the Materiel Leader and Commander of the 2nd Sustainment Squadron in Mission Delta 2. In this role she executes, develops, and sustains SDA programs to enhance combat readiness of USSF SDA.
Lt Col Johnson is a native of Portland, OR and received her commission through ROTC from Pennsylvania State University in May of 2005. She is a career space officer who served in a variety of acquisition, scientific, and intelligence capacities. Additionally, she deployed to Afghanistan as an
NRO Country Lead and was the Operations Flight Commander for ROTC Detachment 895 at Central Washington University.
Most recently, Lt Col Johnson was Commander, Mission Operations Squadron, and Chief, Current
Operations Division at Aerospace Data Facility- Colorado where she led 24/7 operations for health and safety of 4.1K personnel and $33B in national space assets.
Lt Col Johnson is married to Phillip Johnson; they have three children, Henry, Cora, and William.
