Colonel (GS) Ludovic Monnerat is the commander of the newly created Swiss Space Command. This organization is the result of an initiative he launched in early 2015 and led in order to develop space-based operational capabilities within the Swiss Armed Forces, with a specifically dual approach, combining military and civilian, public and commercial resources. He also has more than 22 years of professional experience in the Swiss Armed Forces, having held leadership positions in the fields of special operations, operational training, multidomain doctrine and joint capabilities development.
