Joe Mazur

Joe Mazur is a senior executive with more than three decades of experience advancing national security, cybersecurity, and space systems innovation. A retired Air Force lieutenant colonel and former member of the Senior Executive Service, Joe has expertise in acquisitions, program management, and business development. His career highlights include pioneering the integration of military payloads on commercial satellites at Orbital Sciences, driving technology advancement at DARPA, and serving as program element monitor for space control systems including the X-37 space vehicle program.
At Nightwing, Joe leverages his procurement and technology expertise to align cutting edge capabilities in cyber operations and vulnerability research with government mission needs. He shapes strategic solutions to deliver agile, impactful outcomes for top clients in national security.
Joe has held key leadership roles in industry, including Vice President of Business Development at CACI’s Advanced Programs Group, guiding large-scale acquisitions across defense and intelligence sectors. At ManTech, he brought specialized solutions to the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense, and at DARPA, he managed high-risk, high-payoff projects as Director of the Contracts Management Office.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from the U.S. Air Force Academy, an MBA from the University of Dayton, and a Master of Military Operational Art and Science from the Air Command and Staff College. Outside of work, Joe enjoys skiing, spending time at his lake house, and reading on industry and world events.
