Kimberly Vitelli
Administrator
Office of Workforce Investment, U.S. Department of Labor
Kim Vitelli is the Administrator of the Office of Workforce Investment at DOL’s Employment and Training Administration, where she oversees formula and competitive grant programs that help people find employment and advance in careers. Her office is responsible for over $4.9 billion annually in grants that implement the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and multiple competitive programs such as YouthBuild, Strengthening Community Colleges, and the Indian and Native American Program. She’s also responsible for the Department’s online career tools, and O*NET, the nation’s primary source of no-cost statistically-reliable occupational information.
Kim is a member of the Senior Executive Service, and has served in career roles in six Presidential administrations. She started her career as an Economist at the Bureau of Labor Statistics and an IT Systems Administrator at the British Embassy in South Korea before joining ETA as a Presidential Management Fellow. She has a B.A. in Economics and International Studies and a Master’s in Public Policy. She lives in Maryland where she refrains from giving career advice to her two young adult sons.
