Lt Col James Dossett is Senior Program Manager for Battlespace Awareness, Low/Medium Earth Orbit at Space Systems Command, System Delta 85, Peterson SFB, CO. As the Senior Program Manager, Lt Col Dossett has overall responsibility for acquisition strategy, contract execution, and mission integration of modernization for the nuclear command and control ground-based radars.
Lt Col Dossett entered the Air Force in January 2011 through ROTC from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He has worked nearly all aspects of acquisition and technology development. Lt Col Dossett has worked flight tests, applied technology, demonstrations, and large program creation and acquisition in the Air Force and Space Force. While a member of the Air Force Research Laboratory, he was successful in transitioning revolutionary technology to the F-22 ensuring continued air dominance.
Lt Col Dossett transitioned to the Space Force in 2021. He is a graduate of Acquisition Instructor Course and a member of the original cadre. Before serving in his current assignment, Lt Col Dossett was the Space Vehicle Branch Chief at the National Reconnaissance Office, Radar System Program office.
