TSgt Michael Dillard Jr. serves as a Crew Chief a part of the Joint Functional Component Command for Integrated Missile Defense (JFCC IMD) in support of United States Space Command (USSPACECOM). TSgt Dillard supports JFCC IMD’s responsibility for providing trans-regional missile defense planning and operations support to combatant commands and delivering missile defense capabilities to warfighters. TSgt Dillard is also responsible for ensuring the sustainment, readiness, and posture of multi-mission assets supporting the global missile defense enterprise.
TSgt Dillard enlisted in the United States Air Force in 2016 and transferred to the United States Space Force in 2020. Following his completion of Enlisted Undergraduate Space Training in January 2017, he has since held a variety of space operations positions such as in the 2nd Space Warning Squadron performing Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) operations, 460th Operations Group standard and evaluations, and the 613th Air and Space Operations Center. In his previous assignment at United States Space Forces Indo-Pacific, TSgt Dillard was a Crew Chief responsible for providing theater missile warning and integrating space effects support to the joint services, coalition and allied partners supporting the commander of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command.
