Maurizio Valesani

Maurizio Valesani is a Manager at Novaspace’s Defence and Earth Observation practices. In this role, he supports European institutions, NATO entities, and commercial actors on strategy, market development, and the integration of commercial space capabilities into civil and defence frameworks. He currently serves as Programme Manager for a NATO Allied Command Transformation initiative supporting the implementation of the Alliance’s Commercial Space Strategy.

Prior to this role, Mr. Valesani led projects for European institutions and private clients covering national space strategies, governmental uptake of space services, and due diligence for private investments in space technologies. He previously worked at the European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) on market development initiatives and support to EU space innovation and investment programmes.

Mr. Valesani holds a Master of Science in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, and is an alumnus of the Alta Scuola Politecnica honors programme.
