Aaron Futch serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Redwire Corporation, a leader in space infrastructure for the next generation space economy. In this role, Aaron leads the company’s legal and HR departments and advises Redwire’s Board of Directors and senior management on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters, as well as leading negotiations on strategic transactions.
Prior to Redwire, Aaron was Associate General Counsel, Corporate and Regulatory, at Virgin Galactic, where he also served as interim General Counsel. While at VG, he negotiated the company’s strategic transactions and managed the day-to-day operation of the legal department, including all legal activities in support of the Virgin Galactic mission that sent company founder Richard Branson to space.
Aaron previously held the role of Assistant General Counsel at Intelsat General, leading the legal, contracts, procurement, and security functions. During his time at Intelsat and later in private practice, Aaron negotiated two of the world’s first agreements for in-orbit servicing of commercial satellites.
Aaron began his career in the Washington, DC, office of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, LLP. He earned his Bachelor of Arts at the University of South Florida and his Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law.
