Makoto Kobori is a Senior Manager at Space Compass Corporation, where he leads business development for optical data relay services supporting defense and national security applications, spanning space systems and secure communications.
He has over two decades of experience working with government organizations and industry partners on national security–related programs, including C4ISR, space-based capabilities, and cybersecurity.
Prior to joining Space Compass, Makoto spent 22 years at NTT Data Corporation, focusing on defense market development, including two years as a Visiting Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C., where he researched trends in national security policy and emerging technologies such as AI, cyber, space, and unmanned systems.
