Col. Peter Mastro
Senior Material Leader
Space Systems Command
Col Peter Mastro is the Senior Materiel Leader for the Tactical Command, Control, and Communication Delta within the BMC3 PEO at Space Systems Command, Los Angeles Air Force Base. In that role Col Mastro leads the acquisition Delta of Tactical Command, Control, Communications (TC3), data transmit network solutions, and augmentation to Space Force’s Satellite Control Network.
Col Mastro recently served in a similar role that included the Next-Generation OPIR ground segment, the Future Operationally Resilient Ground Element (FORGE) and the Space Force’s Standard Space Trainer and Virtual Training Environments. Previously, he was Materiel Leader and Program Manager for the development of a first-of-its-kind space control capability and was the Program Element Monitor for the Air Force’s space superiority portfolio.
Prior to those roles, Col Mastro served in a wide breadth of Air Force acquisition assignments ranging from early research at the AFRL, Deputy Program Manager for GPS IIF, and serving as Mission Manger for on-orbit checkout. Additionally, he deployed as Executive Officer to the 386th Expeditionary Operations Group Ali Al Salem AB Kuwait. Col Mastro was commissioned from the United States Air Force Academy in 2002.
