Vicky Schumann is the Vice President of Global Supply Chain (GSC) for Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems sector where she is responsible for the development and implementation of the sector’s supply chain management strategic plan. Schumann is the chairperson of the sector’s Supply Chain Management Council and is accountable for working with the business divisions to set the sector’s supply chain strategy and objectives that further the maturation of the GSC function and drive sector-wide results.
Before serving as vice president, GSC to the Space Systems sector, Schumann held this same role for Northrop Grumman’s Innovation Systems Sector with similar leadership responsibilities.
Prior to the acquisition of Orbital ATK by Northrop Grumman in 2018, Schumann was the Vice President of Corporate Supply Chain Management for Orbital ATK. She joined the company in 2005 and has held a variety of leadership positions including responsibility for the development, implementation and leadership of the Center-led Enterprise Indirect Strategic Sourcing organization.
Schumann brings over 20 years of experience in the areas of sourcing, negotiation and contracting and has a successful track record in driving cost reductions, mitigating risk and improving supplier performance for various multi-billion dollar organizations.
Prior to joining Northrop Grumman, Schumann was Director of Strategic Sourcing for Best Buy Co. and held various leadership positions at United HealthGroup, including Director of Strategic Sourcing and Director of Strategic Process Management. She began her career at U.S. Bank in IT Sourcing.
Schumann holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Colorado College.
