Commercial space services, such as communications, remote sensing, and space domain awareness, are increasingly being integrated into military and intelligence space operations.  This integration yields benefits for government end users and private sector providers, but also potentially exposes commercial space capabilities to new threats.  As has been demonstrated during the war in Ukraine, the use of commercial space systems for national security can result in those systems being targeted to have effects on the battlefield.
